Env - IIB v10.0.0.14 on AIX
Multi-Instance setup.

After an abend - broker is restarting and all the EGs are coming up - but they come up as 'orphans' -e.g. all the EGs run under PPID = 1.

I was expecting all the EGs to run under PPID of Broker process.

Question - Is it normal/typical behavior after abend?

P.S. - We have raised PMR for the abends and IBM is looking into it.

I was/am just wondering about why EGs are running under PPID 1 instead of new broker process ID [bipbroker]
