Hi I need help with installation Of MQseries 5.1 on windows xp

Currently I am installing it to perform a proof of concept. The problem is that our network does not support domains (we ore currently using workgroups) this is causing problems getting the default config up and running. Actually I can't even get it to create a queue manager. Could someone give me some advice please?

As far as I know, MQ 5.1 is not meant for WinXP. Try with version 5.3

Thanks for the reply!

I was wondering if you had experience with installing the 5.3.1 patch for windows XP. We finally got a copy of MQSeries 5.3 but it won't even install if it detects XP.

IBM's solution is to run:
setup.exe AMQ_XP_INSTALL_PENDING_CSD=1
which disables the XP detection and then installing the patch afterwards.

The problem is.... MQSeries still detects XP and is preventing me from installing!

Do you know of a set of working instructions to perform installation?
