We have MQ running on a Windows 2000 box and are getting the following error in the Application Event Log :

Error on receive from host dcncidf31wt02 (10.0.4.231).

An error occurred receiving data from dcncidf31wt02 (10.0.4.231) over TCP/IP. This may be due to a communications failure.

The return code from the TCP/IP (recv) call was 10054 (X'2746'). Record these values and tell the systems administrator.

Any ideas what might be causing this?

The same exact error happened to me when I installed the webMQ on XP. I had some latest TCP security patch from Microsoft loaded on xp and that is when this started happening. What I did is, I uninstalled the latest security patch( I wish I could remember that number) and re-instaleed webMQ. This resolved the issue.
