I'm preparing a script for making backups of a group of qmanagers , mainly v8 but we still have some v7 ones. This will be done from a central machine connecting in client mode ( -c "DEFINE CHANNEL(CHANNEL.CLNT) CHLTYPE(SRVCONN) CONNAME(host(port)" )
For the v8 qmanagers everything works OK. I get the auths in AUTHREC format and I have no reasons to want them in other format.
For the v7 ones, I hoped that dmpmqcfg -o setmqaut will be smart enough to retrieve the permissions from a v7 qmanager , but I get nothing. I have verified my commands against a v8 qmanager and in that case I get the setmqaut commands.
I see that dmpmqaut doesn't support client mode. Is there any alternative that does? Or perhaps there is a way I can make it work with dmpmqcfg ?
Thanks for reading.
PS: when I run dmpmqcfg against a 7.0 qmanager, I get exit code 71, but can't find what that means anywhere. I suppose it is related to not being able to dump the AUTHREC entries but the other objects are dumped OK, but I'll like to confirm that.
