Dear MQers,
As you probably know QLOAD is a utility which allows you to copy or move messages from one source to another and apply a wide range of filtering to the messages. You can, for example, move from files to queues, queues to queue, or queues to files.
A number of our customers have asked whether it would be possible to recover messages directly from the MQ log files. Suppose for example that messages were deleted accidently or you wanted to see some messages which passed through your Queue Manager a few weeks/months ago.
So, always up for a challenge, that is what this release is all about. You can now tell QLOAD to process the DMPMQLOG output and recover messages and put them back on queues. As with all recovery technology there are various caveats but in most cases QLOAD should be able to get your messages back on your queues.
