Does that apply to all platforms (such as z/OS)?
Isn't it usual for IBM to offer 5 years standard and 3 years extended support? _________________ Well, I don't think there is any question about it. It can only be attributable to human error. This sort of thing has cropped up before, and it has always been due to human error. |

I usually refer to this page for End of Life info because it shows every version and every platform:
https://www-01.ibm.com/software/support/lifecycleapp/PLCSearch.wss?q=MQ&ibm-search=Search
But they haven't updated it yet to reflect what that announcement letter says.
MQ 8.0 is listed on that page as having a Policy Type of "E" for Enhanced.
This page says Enhanced gets you 5 years minimum, with an option for at least 3 additional years of extended for an additional charge
https://www-01.ibm.com/software/support/lifecycle/lc-policy.html
I wonder about this discrepancy. When MQ 8 was announced and for the last few years that LifeCycle page says 5 years + 3 years. But that announcement letter says no Extended will be offered if I read it correctly. _________________ Peter Potkay

This letter is wrong. It will be corrected, as extended support will be available. _________________ Well, I don't think there is any question about it. It can only be attributable to human error. This sort of thing has cropped up before, and it has always been due to human error. |
