| unable to execute inst_db for NEON setup in AIX |

hello
I am trying to setup MQSI 2.0.2 in AIX with NEON component installed. But when I try to execute /usr/lpp/neonsoft/install.sql_rulfmt52/inst_db nothing happened (no menu showed up) and return back to prompt. I have included /usr/lpp/neonsoft/bin in the LIBPATH, does anyone know what could have gone wrong? thanks |

Have you run the db2profile for this user.

Yes, I did run db2profile for this user.
In fact, the user I've used is db2inst2.
I've also export /usr/lpp/neonsoft/bin in the LIBPATH and have also ran /usr/opt/mqsi/sample/profiles/profile.aix
the same problem encountered. In case it is important, I've used smitty to install all the component listed in .roc of /cdrom/NEON/neonsoft directory. Howevery, I didn't get a succesfully installation of components in /cdrom/NEON/extrabin. Where can I find installation guide of this NEON product boundled in MQSIv2.0.2?

Installing the pieces should be covered in the <Platform> Installation Guide. (I've only got the NT one handy at the moment).
Installing the DB Schema is in Appendix B of the System Administation Guide.
