MQSeries Workflow 3.3.2
Solaris 8
MQSeries 5.2 CSD 5
Oracle 8.1.7.4
I had this environment up and running fine. We had to down our database server to make some changes. Went to bring workflow back online, and ran into some problems. I run 'fmcamain', get the message 'FMC10110I Administration server for system FMCSYS started', but it never really starts. The fmcsys.log just shows a blank entry every time I attempt to start the admin service:
---------------------------
---------------------------
Nothing in the fmcerr.log. MQSeries is running, with no errors in the logs. Connectivity to the database appears to be fine.
Thanks in advance.

Thomas:
Are there any entries in the MQSeries logs? Or in the DB2DIAG log? _________________ John McDonald

MQSeries logs are clean. We are using Oracle, so I don't have a db2diag log. The Oracle logs are clean as well. |

Update:
This issue is resolved. I ran a trace against the admin server startup, and received the following error:
2003-02-05, 10:22:13.829, fmcdbadm.cxx( 5078) (01,Er,DB), fmcamain( 623- 1), NA, THROW_SQL, FmcSQLException, Sqlcode=-1552, Sqlerr
mc=ORA-01552: cannot use system rollback segment for non-system tablespac, Sqlerrp=NOT SET , Sqlerrd[0]=0, Sqlerrd[1]=0, Sqlerrd[2]=
0, Sqlerrd[3]=0, Sqlerrd[4]=0, Sqlerrd[5]=0, Sqlwarn= , Sqlext=
, Origin=File=/projects/fmc/drvl/lbld/v332/objsopt/oracle/fmcdbac1/fmcdbadm.cxx, Line=5078, Function=NA
Turns out the system rollback segment in Oracle was not 'enabled'. My understanding is that this is used to roll back transactional type requests. Our dba did something to fix it, and we're back in business. |

Thomas,
Can you describe what your DBA did. I think I have a similar problem but I use DB2. When ever I reboot my DB2 server, my WF server wouldnot start and I have to restart DB2client and MQSeries to get WF online again. I believe the problems are related.
