Hi,
I'm using MQ in Solaris. I have to send/receive Japanese (katakana) characters in MQ. My database character set is set to shiftJIS, so to insert japanese data from java, I've set the environment variable LC_ALL and LANG to en_US.UTF-8. If these properties are set, the MQ Get fails to give the entire MQ Message with japanese characters. If its an english message then it gives the entire message.
If the variables are not set, then MQ Get successfully fetches data with japanese characters.
Is there any other way to insert japanese characters into database other than setting these variables. Or is there any other way to ensure MQ will work without truncating katakana characters on MQGet even when environment variables are set.
Thanks & Regards
Vadivel S.
