We have a situation where the JVM of a client is being stopped abruptly while connected to a Queue. We then notice that the processes never go away. Even when we disallow gets and puts on the Queue to force the processes to stop.
The symptom is that the orphaned connections tend to consume messages occassionally.
It seems that a broken connection should be detectable. Does anyone know if there is an issue in version 2.1 of the OS/390 MQSeries where it can NOT recognize a broken connection in the client channel? If so, is this fixed in newer release of OS/390 MQ? _________________ Jon Hamilton
