I have an iSeries QMGR. The CCSID or Coded character set for that QMGR is defined as 37. I am client connecting to this QMGR using a Win2k Java program.

Since I am client connecting, the SVRCON channel doesn't have the CONVERT attribute. The Client is a third party application (Oracle's). I don't know if their GET application is getting with GMO_CONVERT. But it says it can't parse the message properly because it encountered a character that wasn't expected.

Is there someway that I can send the client application ASCII characters or the characters it's expecting.

Thanks
