I'm trying to install MQ 5.3 on redhat . I follow the instructions in the
platform specific install guide.
1)run mqlicense.sh
2) install RPM's
3) run setmqcap
4) run crtmqm to create test queue
Step four fails with:
AMQ7077: You are not authorised to perform the requested operation.
Any suggestions anyone

I've never messed with Linux, but I'd suggest making sure that the userid that you are using is part of the mqm group. |

Yes, installing the RPMs should have created the user/group mqm. Either su to that user, or add yourself to group mqm. NOTE: root is not automatically made part of the mqm group, so even as root, you won't be able to do MQ stuff... _________________ Brandon Duncan
