Haven't seen this topic discussed yet.

Trying to test out exit logic from SAP thru R/3 Link. Have defined the exit requirement in smqDestConf as follows:

receivingdestination
receivingpartner=MIDSYS00
edi_mestype=*
outboundqueuemanager=MERD
outboundqueue=BROKER.INBOUND
default=yes
edi_rcvprn=SYSHRD0020
exitname=*
calluserexit=yes

Defined the actual exit in the .ini file for the outbound server as follows:

gatewayhost=hr3hrd00
gatewayservice=sapgw00
programid=midsys00.id
transactionqueue=BROKER.IDOC.INBOUND.TRANS
queuemanager=MERD
maxidocsize=15728640
rfctraceon=y
batching=y
logging=y
exitname=/var/mqm/bin/SIAEXIT.a

If I don't specify the exit the IDOC goes to BROKER.INBOUND fine. If I specify the exit the IDOC is nowhere to be found but an entry in BROKER.IDOC.INBOUND.TRANS exists. Exit is not 'called'. Exit written in C++ using the sample code.
