AHHHH am pulling my hair out here.

So many ways to do something and so many people reporting success on theirs.

So we have the environment whereby the WEB GUI in 10.0.0.4 IIB will be controlled by ldap. BY this I mean we will have usergroups set up for admin and for display only and the check for this will be with LDAP.

Attempt 1
to set up connection on IIB instance

Code:
mqsichangeproperties TESTNODE_TEST -b webadmin -o server -n ldapAuthenticationUri -v "ldap://servername/ou=User Accounts,dc=domain,dc=co,dc=uk[base]"

Comes back with too many entries

so looking up various entries we try, thinking along teh lines of WAS

Code:
mqsichangeproperties TESTNODE_TEST -b webadmin -o server -n ldapAuthenticationUri -v "ldap://server/CN=IIBADMIN[?[OU=User Accounts,DC=domain,DC=co,DC=uk][?[base]]]"

same response

So thinking we try

Code:
mqsichangeproperties TESTNODE_TEST -b webadmin -o server -n ldapAuthenticationUri -v "ldap://server/OU=User Accounts[?DC=domain.co.uk][?[base]]]"

response is

Quote:
BIP2051E: Integration node TESTNODE_TEST (UUID xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx) could not process an internal configuration message to completion, the

problem was caused by 'webadmin'.

The configuration message could not be processed and was rejected.

Use the inserts within this message to determine the cause of the problem. Correct the integration node's configuration and redeploy using the Integration Toolkit, mqsideploy command or a CMP application. Contact your IBM support center if you are unable to resolve the problem.

BIP8036E: Negative response received.

This command sends an internal configuration message to the integration node. The response received indicated that the internal configuration message was unsuccessful.

Check the system log for further information.

Nothing reported anywhere.

So can anyone either

a) shed any info on above

b) look at the examples above and see where we are going wrong

Much wailing and contact admin of teeth here and we would be forever grateful

I don't know off the top of my head whether the webamin will run a user trace, or if it does nice things like provide a standard format webserver log file that you can read.

Regardless, this is the place to start - and analyze what the LDAP server is receiving/sending
