Hi,
I have MQ7.0 MQ manager and planning to upgrade. However existing saveqmgr seems not saving TOPIC and Subscription definition. Is there any efficient way to backup and restore TOPIC/SUBSCRIPTION in new server?
Thanks. |

What options have you tried with SaveQMGR?
If it does not work then it might be time to create a set of scripts to build your QMGR's from scratch and put them into source control.
You can always get the PubSub definitions out with runmqsc. Just pipe the output to a file. _________________ WMQ User since 1999

Every time you reinvent the wheel the more square it gets (anon). If in doubt think and investigate before you ask silly questions. |

Have you checked if dmpmqcfg works / exits at your level of the product? _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

Also, I don't know what you mean by "existing saveqmgr".
And it saves topics
But, again, you should use dmpmqcfg _________________ chmod -R ugo-wx /

I'm pretty sure you can use an MQ V8 Client (which will include dmpmqcfg) remotely on the MQ V7 Qmgr. I don't know you will get what you want because I've never tried it. |

You should be using at least 6.1.x to get support for topics, as those are v7 features...
