Hi,
We have a messages flow creating duplicate MQMD headers. The flow is able to put the message on the destination queues in one of the environment where MQ version is 7.5.0.1 but the same flow is failing with MQRC 2142 when the MQ version is 7.5.0.4.
We are looking at the flows why its creating multiple MQMDs but would like to know whether any properties in MQ to ignore duplicate headers?
thanks |

Which MQMD would you ignore? _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Every MQ message consists of 2 parts, a single MQMD, and the Message Data payload.
Some MQ message formats allow an additional MQMD structure to be embedded in the Message Data, eg. MQDLH. Is this what you are describing? Normally apps would not do this. _________________ Glenn |

I don't believe you can embed an MQMD in an MQDLH, are you thinking of an MQXQH perhaps, where you certainly can? Although, as you say, it would be very unusual for an application to explicitly do this.
Cheers,

Yeah, sorry, I meant MQXQH. A MQMD v1 can be followed by a MQMDE structure in the message data. _________________ Glenn |
