A remote queue is not a queue but a pointer to a local queue on another queue manager. You can not read (MQGET) messages from a remote queue, only insert (MQPUT) them. Therefore there is no concept of "number of messages on a remote queue.

1. You can try monitor om XMitQ by parameter Queue name and QMgr name which same with defined in your remote Q.
2. You can create XMitQ and channel dedicated to current remote Q and monitor on it.
