We just started playing with IIB V9
We open up a bar file from a Vendor to the IIB 9 toolkit Bar editor. We use filter "Built resources that are configurable" on the managed tab to display configurable resources. It shows all the message flows under CommonApp. We do a right click and configure on every message flow listed. But every one shows "no configurable properties associated with selection"
I am not doing this all the time. But under V7, If my memory is right, I will see all configurable properties when right and select configure on a message flow. I know for sure that some of the flows are using MQINPUT node. So at least the Input Q should be configurable.
What am missing here ? |

Did you also check at the higher levels? Properties might have been promoted... _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

This is what shows under the manage tab of the bar editor on my V9 toolkit. I click all the message flows types and they all show "No configurable properties". I noticed that in V7 message flows in bar file are shows as cmf (compiled). But in here it is showing just as Message flow. Is that the reason why ?
Name ----------------- Type
CommonApp -------------------------- Application
Test_Audit_errorLib ----------------- Library
Test_Audit_mf.msgflow ----------------- Messageflow
Test_BussinessExceptmnHandlev.subflow ----- subflow
Test_ErrorHandler.subflow ----------------- subflow
Test_Reply.subflow ----------------------------- subflow
Test_SystemExceptionHandler.subflow --------- subflow
CommonLib ------------------------ Library
BussinessProcessResponse.subflow --------------- subflow
BussinessRuleEngine.subflow --------------- subflow
Test_CheckResponse.subflow --------------- subflow
Test_SOAPRequest.subflow --------------- subflow
Test_Validation.subflow --------------- subflow
Test_BussinessProc_Request.msgflow --------------- Messageflow
Test_BussinessProc_Response msgflow ------------- Messageflow

Whether you are using .CMF or .MSGFLOW should make no difference here. The properties should be presented in the same way.
When viewing a BAR file the structure will be:
Application
..FlowFile.msgflow
.....FlowName
........NodeName1
........NodeName2
..FlowFile2.cmf
.....FlowName2
........NodeName1
........NodeName2
If you click on the .msgflow/.cmf level then you will see the "Configure", "Workload Management", "Details" tabs on the Properties window. These cover the IBM primitive flow level properties that can be configured such as Additional instances, commit count, monitoring etc.
If then click on the FlowName level which is the first child of the .msgflow/.cmf level then you should see the flows UDPs and Promoted properties that have been promoted to the flow level. If you have no UDPs or Promoted properties then you will see "No configurable properties associated with selection".
You can expand the "flow name" level to see the nodes and for each node you can update the configurable properties for these as well. _________________ Regards
