Do you want to get off the oldest message on the queue, or find out how old the oldest message on the queue is?

Is your message PRIORITY or FIFO? If PRIORITY, do you have mixed priorities? If not, just get the first message - that will be the oldest.

If you just want to know how old it is, browse it and look at PutDate and PutTime or, if you have queue monitoring on (MONQ attribute) then look at MSGAGE on QSTATUS.
