Hi Guys,
How to check whether Channel auths are enabled or disabled.
When I issued the DISPLAY QMGR command, I can see that CHLAUTH(DISABLED). But I can see so many channel authentication records exists when issued the command display channel and those are working too. Also I tried many versions of display channel(*) where( chlauth EQ ENABLED) but syntax error.
Is there any command to know the channel auths status. |

You are correct, that is exactly how you tell whether CHLAUTH is ENABLED a or DISABLED. There is nothing else that needs to be done, no REFRESH command that needs to be issued in order for CHLAUTH setting to be noticed by the queue manager, it is immediate.

You can see the CHLAUTH rules and change them, but they only take effect when CHLAUTH(ENABLED) is set on the queue manager. You say "those are working" - what makes you say they are working? Are you seeing "Channel is blocked" error messages?

You need to use the DISPLAY CHLAUTH(*) command not the DISPLAY CHANNEL(*) command to see your CHLAUTH rules and, as noted above, the DISPLAY QMGR CHLAUTH command to see that they are enabled.
Cheers

It's an oddity of the British language that "Hughson" is actually pronounced "Morag". _________________ chmod -R ugo-wx / |
