Hi,
What is the difference between Websphere MQ Integrator and Websphere MQ Integrator Broker. Is Websphere MQ Integrator Broker = Websphere MQ Integrator - NEON Formatter - NEON Rules?
On the IBM Websphere MQ family website, I only find Websphere MQ Integrator Broker, but not Websphere MQ Integrator. Does it imply IBM is going to push Websphere MQ Integrator Broker and give up the name of Websphere MQ Integrator?
thanks |

You are rirht - it is very not clear from information on IBM site.
Documentaion is absolutelly identical for both.
Websphere MQ Integrator = Websphere MQ Integrator Broker + NEON Formatter + NEON Rules
It is IBM's way to take out (step by step) NEON.
Actually new Websphere MQ Integrator Broker has most or may be all funktionality to replace NEON.
I guess also that it is different license for Event Broker --> Broker --> Integrator. _________________ Best regards.

This divorce has been in the works since NEON and IBM started dating. I saw it coming a long time ago. (I've worked for both.)
I'm just wondering how much the alimony will be......but I digress on a subject I've ponificated on before.
Yaakovd, The MRM is getting close, but I've still seen cases where NEON...oops...NNSY still is the weapon of choice. Cases where you have indeterminate amount of repeats...or alternate formats. Also, do a quick performance check.
The risk is how much support it will receive in a year or two. Based on that risk alone, I would stick with the MRM as much as possible. Also, the learning curve is fairly steep for NNSY. Why learn something that will be gone soon?
I feel like the child of divorce.
Good Luck everyone! |

Hello brother, don' fill alone
I have same problem - our system is working with MQSI and NEON (for EDI parsing) more then 1 year in production, 50 000 EDI messages per day. But I will happy to switch back to MRM as soon as possible.
What is your choice - mother or father ? _________________ Best regards.

While working with NEON we found that it worked slower than MRM, but it's a great tool to model some of the complex message structure. Also, there was a problem with using NEON nodes in Globally coordinated message flows, this problem must have been solved by now. _________________ Kiran
