Well. You have to configure a database if you want to use one.
You don't have to do that for collector.
You have to make sure that your collection doesn't need to be sorted, if you use the Collector node - or you have to sort it yourself. You can use a Passthru if you use a database.
You have to do additional monitoring of your IIB environment if you're using the collector node - to make sure it's not using up the queue space or other resources on the IIB server. With a database, you wouldn't have to do that.
But a collector node is a lot simpler to use. And requires a lot less configuration and administration. _________________ chmod -R ugo-wx /
