This is more of a design question than broker question. We have been asked to write a web service solution where we are supposed to send a file (in MB) as a SOAP attachement to a server.

is http the right way to send files? any thoughts one way or the other?

shouldn't we just be doing sftp? I don't understand why we are being asked to do it via http.

hopefully it is not the effect of the web services campaign going around.

can you point me to some reasoning as to why http file transfer is a bad idea?
