While I am trying to install IIB v10 installation on AIX 7.1, I got the below issue.
Quote:
3004-686 Group "mqbrkrs" does not exists.
Group 'mqbrkrs' will be created.
Installation stops there.

Then I start the installation using
./iib make registry global accept license.

It displays
Quote:
Registry '/var/mqsi' already exists ans will not be overwritten.
IIB installation will be directed to use this existing global registry.
Group 'mqbrkrs' already exists.

Installation stops.

Could you please let me know what is the isssue?

You are running the install as the proper user e.g. root aren't you?

It is possible to install IIB using a non-root id (since WMB v8) but it doesn't always work that well due to permission conflicts, especially if you have a previous root installed version.

Can anybody suggest if you have experience of installing IIB v10 on AIX?

"./iib make registry global accept license" is not doing any installation. The tar extract is the 'installation'.
All that command is doing is accepting the license and making the installation either 'global' (working directory is /var/mqsi) or 'individual' (working directory is in $HOME)

There doesn't appear to be an issue. This is not an error, simply an information message showing that var/mqsi already exists.

You should verify the install to insure everything was installed correctly using the 'iib verify all' command.
