Hi,
Following command is suggested to use, to turn on Monitoring on ALL Application/Flows of ALL the Execution Groups, of a Broker.
"mqsichangeflowmonitoring <BROKERNAME> -g -j -c active"
That means, even those Broker Application/Mflows for which Monitoring Events haven't configured (suppose, at Design Time), they'll emit Monitoring Events ?
Following is the Topic string, used in Subscription Queue.
$SYS/Broker/<BROKERNAME>/Monitoring/default/+
I have recently faced this issue, where one of the Broker Application, for which Monitoring events weren't ever configured, started to emit blank events (no payload) with event header. It appears to be an issue in Broker/Configuration?
Have you or anyone has faced similar issues?
Broker v8.0.0.4
MQ v7.0.1.9
Platform Windows,Linux RH 64bit
Thanks. _________________ *Life will beat you down, you need to decide to fight back or leave it. |

You are not the first to be surprised by this, but it is working as designed. Every flow has a default monitoring profile. If monitoring is enabled for any message flow, it will begin emitting 3 types of event ( transactionStart, transactionEnd, transactionRollback) unless this 'default monitoring profile' has been overridden using the monitoring event properties or an explicit monitoring profile.
http://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/en/SSMKHH_10.0.0/com.ibm.etools.mft.doc/ac60388_.htm
If monitoring is activated for a message flow, and monitoring properties or a monitoring profile configurable service are not configured for the flow, transaction events are emitted from each input node of the message flow. The events contain the bit stream of the input message. |
