I just upgraded IIB Fix Pack version from 9.0.0.3 to 9.0.0.5 on RedHat Linux. After the installation, i changed the Broker functional level to the new version using the command

mqsichangebroker DevBroker -f 9.0.0.5

When i report the Broker properties, i still see the old version in mqsistart & mqsiprofile install path...

[mqbrkr@$ mqsireportbroker DevBroker
BIP8927I: Broker Name 'DevBroker'
Last mqsistart path = '/opt/ibm/mqsi/9.0.0.3'
mqsiprofile install path = '/opt/ibm/mqsi/9.0.0.3'
Work path = '/var/mqsi/DevBroker'
...
Fixpack capability level = '9.0.0.5' (effective level '9.0.0.3')
Broker registry format = 'v9.0'
Administration security = 'inactive'
....
Start as WebSphere MQ Service = 'undefined'

Am i missing something in the fixpack upgrade, that the mqsistart path & install path that are not getting updated?

Depends where you installed the fixpack.

Personally I always choose new locations to match the fixpack number.

Assuming you have changed the .profile to use 9005 and relogged on afterwards, try starting/stopping the broker to see if it updates the path.

The fixpath Install path is /opt/ibm/mqsi/9.0.0.5

I added the mqsiprofile to the 'mqbrkr' user profile by going to

cd /home/mqbrkr
vi .bash_profile & added this line
. /opt/ibm/mqsi/9.0.0.5/bin/mqsiprofile

When i login to this "mqbrkr" user, i get the latest version but wont show on Broker property as mentioned earlier.

That's probably because you have to bounce the broker and start it with a service user for which the profile has been updated to take advantage of the higher fix pack.
