I've been googling and checking the IBM doc site, but I can't come up with a definitive answer.

We're running WS application server version: 7.0.0.23

And MQ7.1 at the moment. I need to upgrade to MQ8 and I'm wondering if WAS7 is compatible with MQ8. Anyone know for sure?

Beware, I did an MQ Server upgrade a could of years ago where WAS had an MQ Client at some level of 7.0. The fix caused the client Resource Adapter to fail because the MQ Client was at 7.0.0.0 and not the level WAS should have upgraded it to. There is a link about this on the WAS site and there is a script and set of instructions to fix this.
