Hi All
When putting to a QALIAS with persistence set as yes is there a write to the logs and then another write when it hits the qlocal ?
Looking at this from a performance stand point....is there a double write ?
persistence is being set at the Queue level not by app
Full understanding that persistence should be set by the application and not at the queue but you tell the developers.....javascript:emoticon(' ') |

A QAlias is a definition, not a queue. Only real QLocal queues can store messages.
When the QAlias is MQOPENed (or equivalent), messages are MQPUT to the target of the QAlias. If the application has specified PERSISTENCE_AS_Q_DEF, it will be the QAlias that sets the persistence of subsequent MQPUTs. There will only be one log write - at MQPUT to the target of the QAlias.
