Hi, I have peculiar issue
We had a sender channel running but the XMITQ queue pointing to the remote Qmgr was piling up with messages and it was only being used by the remote queue pointing to that particular Qmgr.
The remote Qmgr was restarted without our knowledge and the message pile up began from then but the sender channel started running some time later.
Now, our architect suggested we stop and start the running sender channel, I did that and all the messages went through.
Could anyone explain what transpired in the background? Was it a coincidence or did MQ wake up anything? Will this work in the future?
Thanks. |

Hello,
probably you had an orphaned receiver channel at the end Qmgr . If you use tcp/ip as channel protocol ,then the keepalive parameter setting could be useful to address this issue .There are a lot of presentations about channels behaviour and parameters settings on the net .
Hope it helps |

Check the DIS CHL attributes on your SDR channel, and in DIS CHS. Sounds like it might not be set up to retry automatically. |
