This is just initial investigation. We are running MB V7 and dealing with a new partner with SAP. We need to exchange data with this new partner. There are many articles describing MB integration with SAP using the SAP adapter.
However there is little mention about if this SAP adapter comes with the standard WMB license or it is separately chargeable. If we already have it included in the WMB pricing, we can just do the work. However if it is separately priced, we need to investigate all "free" possibilities.

If SAP Adapter is not free , we need some suggestion from the community
We are only dealing with one or 2 IDOC formats. When I read the MB info center, it actually says that the IDOC domain is deprecated and we should use MRM. So we can just use MRM to develope the message definition.
I know that SAP can put IDOC to a file. If we can just use file node to get the data and use our own message set to read it. There will be not additional licensing fee ?
Can SAP write the IDOC to a MQ queue which can be sent to us and pick up by our broker ?

License Questions have to go through your IBM sales team.

If you do decide to roll your own then DFDL would be a much better choice than MRM. I know it's not available on WMBv7, but you are going to have to upgrade to at least v8 in the near future anyway - otherwise you will be out of support.

Understood and have already contacted IBM. We just want to know if we can do it without using the adapter or have some one done it without the adapter for simple scenario like ours.

You will want to review with the relevant SAP team what transport options they have and support, and particularly if they require IDocs.

Both of these are one of the big complicating factors with interfacing with SAP, and why the nodes exist.

And, again, you really do need to upgrade to at least v8. The license terms, in particular, may have changed...
