You can test it. I would think it is possible... in case it isn't, you can call it in other place in the flow... the database input node is designed to capture events, after that you can to what ever you want with that event...

There are at least two places that the DatabaseInput node accesses the database.

Once to read the trigger table.

Once to read the data table.
