Context : JMS connects with Messaging server via Connection factory.
In IBM MQ JMS Administration tool,we create Server connection channel in MQ Connection factory configuration so that JMS client can connect to IBM MQ server.
Now,JMS is actually meant for connecting with any Messaging Service provider.
1)So,I want to know whether only IBM MQ JMS Administration tool has a property named Server connection channel in Connection factory?
2)If we take other providers like JBOSS,Apache :-do each of them have their own type of connection factory configurations specifically?
3)How is the JMS client internally using ServerConnection Channel to connect with IBM MQ JMS Provider?
-When it comes to SVRCONN,all that comes to my mind is only MQClient.
But not clear on how JMS client which does not have any direct relation with IBM MQ in it,can make use of SVRCONN to connect with MQ Server? |

If IBM MQ follows the JMS spec then the connection factory params should be compatible when using a different message provider.
Did you look at the Apace spec/doc/samples to see if the connectionFactory has the same params?
You might get a clearer understanding by doing that rather from asking some 'guys on the internet'? _________________ WMQ User since 1999

Every time you reinvent the wheel the more square it gets (anon). If in doubt think and investigate before you ask silly questions. |

If you look at the setup, IBM has a few JMS providers preconfigured.
Each JMS Provider has its own connection factory parameters. The SVRCONN channel is specific to an IBM MQ Client Connection.
Experiment a little. _________________ MQ & Broker admin |
