Hi,
Once due to some network error , the WAS listeners went down.. and in the websphere System.Err, we saw the below:
SystemErr R Caused by: java.io.IOException: Async IO operation failed (1), reason: RC: 10054 An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host. Also in the WAS console, we saw the listeners were down
We were told that the above issue happened due to network error..
I would like to know what could be the other reasons that the listeners could be down, and what would be the System.err messages that we will see, for example, for the above, we was RC: 10054.
It would be of great help if you could help us on this.
Appreciate any help.. |

Any of the TCP/IP errors listed here will have an effect on your listeners; you'll observe the 10054 code you experienced in the list.
This list is not exhaustive. Your network people may have a better one. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

if you are using MDB listeners and if your code is not good, then for each poison message the listener will go down _________________ Regards
