Hi ,we have a MQ installed on the windows/linux machine. I want to know if after uninstalling it will also remove mqm user from the Operating system. |

Certainly not.

We don't need that Queue manager and data as new MQ is installed on the separate server and this is the older version that we want to uninstall. Also, is this job of Unix Team to remove "mqm" user from Linux. |

it's a user. If it's the job of the Unix team to manage users, then yes, it's their job to remove it.
Maybe you should ask them about it? |

Let the mqm user exist on old box for a while until the new MQ is in steady state.
Even though it is Unix team who manage users, they might not know what all MQ users/ Groups were being used. So, if you give them clear instructions on what users/groups should be cleaned up, they would really do a good job |
