Now that Google has indexed a good portion of this site, I am able to find answers to may MQ problems by searching on the error string and specifying the 'site:' modifier.
For example, the other day we had a report of the error "Unable to load message catalog - mqji". I found this rather quickly by using the following search term in Google:
Code: |
"Unable to load message catalog - mqji" site:mqseries.net |
Since Google caches EVERY word on the page, you can search for exact phrases - note the use of quotes above. It is also helpful to search for a message or reason code at site:ibm.com as all the manuals have been cached.

I have been using Google myself to research errors and Mqseries.net is always a result in my search. It is a helpful tool to be able to use the two in conjuction.
Since becoming a member of MQseries.net I have been able to find the answers to my questions easier and the knowledge base here is wonderful.

I actually wasn't aware of the site modifier (site:mqseries.net) on Google... That's a pretty awesome feature! _________________ Brandon Duncan
