Okay, I have 2 AIS servers SRV1 and SRV2 hosting MQ1 and MQ2 as queue managers respectively.
MQ2's stand by mode runs on SRV1 and MQ1's on SRV2 so this would be the dspmq output :
SRV1 :
MQ1 - running
MQ2 - running as standby
SRV2 :
MQ2 - running
MQ1 - Running as standby
I had a startup boot script in place for by 7.0 Queue managers that was pretty simple but now with v8 MQ and Multi-Instance, how do i create a boot script to bring up MQ in their respective hosts and standby on the other?
We need to assume any or both of the hosts can be rebooted in any order?
The response is obvious in your question...
By the way... there is no preferred host for a multi-instance queue manager.
It's first come - first serve... _________________ MQ & Broker admin
