hi all
i searched but i dont find any solution (sorry if i cant speek english very well )
i'm new in programming under zos
i have a websphere application server v7 in mainframe and i'm going to write a program under eclipse or another ide(s) (windows os) and deploy it to websphere application server
i try to define a server in eclipse to deploying program automaticly(on was)
but i have a problem
i can't define remote server to was 7 on mainframe (if i dont wrong, i must install was 7 in windows for this connection).
so i have 2 questions :
1) do you have a solution that don't need websphere application server 7 in windows for remote connection
2) if not, where i can find was 7 for download (i see ibm website but only v8.5 is accessible for download)
thank you |

What is the error you are getting, when you are trying to do a remote connection to the WAS in Z/OS,
you know there is a show stopper, please provide the full detailed error over here to look up on
2) if not, where i can find was 7 for download (i see ibm website but only v8.5 is accessible for download)
here is the download link for WASv7

when i try to config remote sever in eclipse, i select
server type : websphere application server v7.0
servers host name: <my z/OS ip address>
when i click next button, the new form want me to insert installation directory
this installation directory must be local ( is that true?) but i dont have any websphere v7 in local pc but i have was 8.5.5 in pc. when i choose v8 in local pc for retmote server (v7 in MF)
the same problem is exist in other IDE for example IntelliJ Idea |
