.I have changed the Primary log files from 4 to 5 , after that I have reconnected to the QMGR , but I have checked in the QMGR Logs still it is showing 4 only , Any Reason?

Yes. The reason is that you did not bounce the queue manager after your change....

Increasing the number of primary logs doesn't itself result in new extents immediately being created (even when the queue manager is recycled). When a 'secondary' extent is next needed and allocated, then it will be treated as a primary and will not be released when the log space usage reduces (at it would have been as a secondary).
