Documentation is explicit describing how a more specific positive rule can win against a generic address(*) backstop rule. But what if multiple positive rules exist which will match the connection attempt? I have a backstop rule with following positive rules: address(nnn.nn.*.*) rule and usermap with client user ID and address (nnn.nn.*.*) specified. In the case where the userID matches the clnt user ID in the usermap rule, will that usermap rule be the one which facilitates the connection? or will the more generic address (nnn.nn.*.*) rule be the one? Granted, this is an odd question - but I am trying to sort out a practical CHLAUTH config for multiple apps using the svrconn when some apps supply a userID and some don't. |

Search google for Chautauqua+precedence. There are a few slideshow presentations on the subject.
