Hi all,
we are considering the usage of a NoSQL database to store data that is heavily consulted by several message flows.
We are trying to understand the benefits, difficulties and possible problems by using the combination of Broker + NoSql database / inMemory databases.
Right now we haven't defined each of the nosql database to use (redis, mongodb, etc) , so , any experience and feedback with any "brand" of nosql is welcome. _________________ Best regards

Is there a reason you don't want to use global cache? |

Perhaps because searching for some data in the Cache is a bit of a PITA when compared to a DB. {At least the version of the Cache with IIB 9.0.0.1}.
Even when using the cache you have to store the data somewhere like a Database don't you? _________________ WMQ User since 1999

Every time you reinvent the wheel the more square it gets (anon). If in doubt think and investigate before you ask silly questions. |

Ok, that's a reasonable reason - that you have a relatively large set of data that you need to query from, rather than a relatively static set of data that you can access directly by name.

Not as far as I know. It's XTremeScale, it doesn't require a DB.
If you want to restore the cache after all your EGs that hold it have restarted, then, yes, you might want a DB. |
