Hi All,
Maybe this is pretty basic... but... the "Channels" and other tabs of the queue manager properties are missing on MQ Explorer.. The connection is to a remote MQ 7.5 on zLinux. Is there some reason Channels tab (and others tabs, for example Registry) is missing? I'm connecting with SYSTEM.ADMIN.SVRCONN with wired MCA to a mqm group's user.
Any hint?
Thanks. |

If you right-click on the qmgr in question (in the Navigator pane), does the content pane show 'connected' to the zLinux qmgr?
Channels tab? Do you mean the channel folder? Can you display the queues folder? _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

Yes, connected.

When I right click the queue manager -> Properties, the channels folder or tab (and other) is missing. I only see for example General, Cluster, etc. |

Because you can only see distributed and UNIX Qmgr attributes that live in the qm.ini file with a local QM to where the MQ Explorer runs.
You will need to ssh to the zLinux machine, become the mqm ID, go to the qm.ini file of the Qmgr in question and look/modify stuff from there. Changes don't take affect until the Qmgr is restarted.
Word of advice, never do work on a UNIX Qmgr with any ID other than mqm. |
