Could people list the optional WMQ features/behaviour enabled with environment variables?

I am not suggesting other people use them without a good reason (and probably only on advice from IBM) but it might be useful to know they exist (and google them for more details).

Here are the ones that I use

export MQS_REPORT_NOAUTH=TRUE

This turns on reporting in the MQ log of the MQ object name that authorisation failed for (hard to believe that they omitted this by default!).

export EXTSHM=ON

This is something to do with shared memory usage on AIX

export AMQ_DUMP_NO_PROPERTIES=TRUE

Reduces the size of MQ dumps?

export AMQ_XA_ZOMBIE_EXPIRY=3600

Kill off zombie XA transactions after xx seconds (forthcoming PTF)

Maybe not as comprehensive as you'd like (didn't see any of the security ones (poodle)) but a pretty good list

Using crtmqenv
About the MQCONNX behavior
And for JMS applications
Or just for plain Java applications

Enjoy

You might be interested in the following post I wrote about client environment variables (and how to use them in mqclient.ini instead).
