I've installed IIB (including WMQ) on a Linux system (openSUSE 13.2). The install seems to have completed OK according to all the install logs but Verification is stuck. Two observations so far:
1. MQ Explorer starts and is able to create the default configuration. However, Postcard does not launch. No errors on the MQ error logs. WMQ functionality seems OK in that I can put and get messages.
2. IIB Toolkit does not launch. Launched from the command line I see this:
Code: |
/opt/IBM/IntegrationToolkit90> ./launcher
MQSI 9.0.0.2
/opt/ibm/mqsi/9.0.0.2
/opt/IBM/IntegrationToolkit90> |
Suggestions? |

Is that Standard Edition or Developer Edition Or else ?
Have you downloaded it as a Single Package ?
Have you installed the required components in the Silent mode ?
Hope you've varified the system requirements before actual installation of it ?
You can verify the Installation from the info center here
I am not sure what do you mean by MQE Postcard ?
Is that location accessible to your user id Or are you authorized to access the toolkit in the system ?

from here this doesn't look problematic though, it would ask for the workspace location next before it opens the toolkit panels for you to hit on.

I read the InfoCenter stuff. Tried to verify the IBM Integration Toolkit but it didn't start. Decidied to check if WMQ was OK in its own right so tried the Verification app built in to MQ Explorer. The steps to create a default configuration here worked however the Postcard app as launched from the Websphere MQ Explorer UI fails to start.

My userid is in the mqm and mqbrks groups. I am not using root. |

you may have to log off and log back on... some assignments don't take effect until the next login... _________________ MQ & Broker admin |
