The Knowledge Centre (KC) contains all the necessary information you need to resolve your issue, but I advise you to read it very carefully...
...and when these sort of situations occur it's a two-ended resolution, i.e. you need to coordinate with the 'owners' of the 'other' end of the channel. _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

Ranjan,
If you get a sequence number error on a channel it is an indication that something is wrong and it should not happen in 'normal' conditions. However, it can be as trivial as someone deleting and redefining a channel, issuing the wrong reset channel command or even re-creating their Queue Manager. These can be safely ignored. But it could indicate a real problem such as ...you are sending these messages to a different QM than you thought you were, someone has recovered the QM from a backup log etc etc
Anyway, if you have convinced yourself that the reason for the sequence failure is known and understood and you just want to get things going again then you can issue a RESET CHANNEL at the sender end and all should be well...no need to update the receiver side. Any messages in prepared state on the transmission queue should be resolved correctly automatically.
Cheers,
Paul. _________________ Paul Clarke
