XML empty start tag is getting ignored after parsing

I am facing an issue while parsing my XML message. If I am getting an empty tag (<Value></Value>) from source system than after parsing my target system is getting tag (</Value>).

But target system want tag to be in same format which source system in sending. How can I achieve this?

I'm looking for a generalized solution as my input XML could be big and solution could be easily applied on all incoming XML fields.

I know that this has been asked at least once before. A little searhing may help you find a solution.
