Hi,
I tried to connect to a remote queue manager using rfhutilc by setting MQSERVER, but getting below error
Not authorized (Connect)
Can I add a userid while setting the variable? if so how? please let me know if any other options are available for this error
Thanks, |

You need to set up the relevant authorities on the queue manager, for the userid that you're connecting as. _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

And on 7.5 or higher, be mindful of any channel authority rules that are in place. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

No. The MQSERVER variable is the least complex of the client connection options because it supports only the basic client functionality.
The rfhutilc utility is a fully functioning client and will accept a CCDT and all the yummy goodness that supports.
Note this will not get you past any channel authority rules on a 7.5 or higher queue manager. Be aware that (deliberately) MQ returns a 2035 if the user is unauthorised in OAM or if you're being blocked by a rule.
