Using MQVER, I can tell what version of MQ my QM is (for instance 5.2.1). But how do you tell what CSD has been applied?

I just did an mqver on my Win/2000 machine and it shows
MQSeries Version: 521
CMVC level: p521-CSD05H
I think if there were no CSDs, the cmvc level is just p521

mqver also gives the CSD you applied. (I am talking about servers)
Quote: |
C:\>mqver
MQSeries Version: 521
CMVC level: p521-CSD05H
BuildType: IKAP - (Production) |
Is that what you asked or did I miss something.

I get the following:
c:\>mqver
MQSeries Version: 521
CMVC level: p521-L010508
BuildType: IKAP - (Production)
Does this mean I don't have any CSDs applied on this QM?
What does L010508 mean?
What about IKAP - (Production) _________________ Peter Potkay

The CMVC level and build type are some things that are done internally while building drivers for test departments. I would expect the shipped build type to always be production. I'm not sure about the Lxxx part of the CMVC level.
Somebody from WebSphere MQ development can probably give a more official answer. |

This does mean you have no CSDs applied.
Another place to check to be sure is the <mqtop>\memo.ptf file. If any CSDs are applied, the detail is listed in this file.

I think on the CMVC level: p000-L020617, when the last part = CSDnnX, the nn part = the CSD level otherwise it will have a Lnnnnnn which means no CSD applied. _________________ Emile M Kearns |
