Hi All
Can anyone please tell me where I can still find/download WMQ Server 5.3 for Linux installation media/ISO. I need to do a re-installation and our media is missing...
It is not available on IBM's website...
Thanks

Why on earth would you want to do this? What possible justification can there be for using a 7-year out-of-support software package? _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

I'm reasonably sure it's not possible to download this from IBM's website any more.
If it is possible, then you'd have to use your normal method for getting IBM software - partnerworld/passport advantage/etc/whatever-they're-calling-it-these-days
If it's not possible, it's illegal to get anywhere else.
All in all, an excellent reason to install v7.5 instead. "Whoops. We can't fix this." |

Restore from the last system backup. Or start looking through people's desks for the media.

No it isn't. It's been out of support for many, many years and hence IBM don't offer it.
I do hope the Linux is comtempory with WMQv5.3. Trying to install that on a modern Linux is going to be problematic; not so much the install perhaps but the running...... _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Someone on the site agreed to take the risk of not moving off v5.3, presumably to save the time & money that the migration and associated testing involves. You need to tell that someone that the risk just failed to pay off.
And as my most worthy associate points out, obtaining IBM software from anywhere that isn't IBM or an IBM approved reseller isn't legal _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
