Hello,
during the 1st installation of Websphere MQ 7.5 on Linux, I would like to be able to create a response file, to be able to rerun the installation in silent mode for other environments.

Can anyone tell me how that can be done?

Thanks,
Laurent LANDREAU

PS: Knowledge center mentions it for Windows via MSIEXEC, there is mention of a response file for WAS but have seen nothing for MQ on Linux.

Go to google. Search for 'mq unattended installation unix'

check out the different possible parameters for the GUI/command line install. I'd like to believe that one of them creates a response file...

Hmmm.

why the need for a response file when all it takes to install the product is to accept the license and run

Code:

yum -y install *.rpm

Never had the need for anything else especially when you can put the files anywhere you like using links.

Every time you reinvent the wheel the more square it gets (anon). If in doubt think and investigate before you ask silly questions.
