We have environmental variables file which is used to add environmental variables to the WMB broker environment which is based on the IA9C GetEnv node support pac.
While using the sudo to the wmbadm8 user id and using mqsistop/mqsistop the environmental variables were not getting updated for new variables always.
Where as when a shell script containing the below command it always works and new environmental variables are added in the wmb enviroment.
Can I know the significance of below -
su - wmbadm8 -c "mqsistop TEST6BRK"
where TEST6BRK is the broker name. _________________ skr_wmb
There is a system setting (in Unix) to determine which environment variables are passed to (inherited by) scripts run under sudo (all others are not).
This is a security feature, but you can get your WMB environment variable names added. _________________ Well, I don't think there is any question about it. It can only be attributable to human error. This sort of thing has cropped up before, and it has always been due to human error.
